Hopping into March...

March is a momentous month for me as it’s my solar return just after the Spring Equinox. So whilst filled with the joy of planting vegetable seeds and the gorgeous daffodils signalling spring on it’s way, I have much optimism mixed with a little apprehension with the approaching birthday. Therefore I felt it would be very apt to release a painting I did in January - ‘Spirit of Rabbit’. This painting is an oil on stretched canvas with wraparound, 20 x 20 x 1.5cm and is available as a giclée limited edition print and blank greeting card.

Rabbits are amazing creatures. They are so fast and alert. They dart across the fields, playing in the grass and sunshine – enjoying all that nature has to offer. A rabbit’s sharp reaction to danger, belie a wealth of ancestral knowledge manifested as honed instincts and careful planning ahead. Rabbits have an inbuilt knowing of when the coast is clear and when it is a great time to enjoy nature’s bounty.

I am going to dedicate this painting to a dear friend who I know loves rabbits with all her heart and is such a source of inspiration fun and support for me... She knows who she is!
