As the light shifts and the days grow cooler, I always find myself slowing down and listening more closely to what wants to emerge. Both in my life, and on the canvas.

This year, as the Autumn Equinox approached, I felt the presence of Snake. Not in a sudden way, but with a quiet ripple. A steady gaze from the edges of my awareness, coiled and waiting. The kind of energy that doesn't force its way in, but arrives when you're ready to meet it.

Over the last few weeks, Spirit of Snake revealed herself. She came through in deep, grounding colours, surrounded by wild green grasses and a sense of still power. The grasses are more than setting. They are symbolic of healing energy and heart restoration. And Snake herself? She carries the wisdom of sacred shedding. The reminder that it is not just okay to outgrow your skin. It is necessary.
