Autumn Fairies picking blackberries

This is the last in the Autumn Fairy and Elf series. This painting was inspired by the rich colours and textured lay of the wheat fields. I adore this time of year, when it is still sunny and warm, and the fields are filled with bales of straw.

Here the fairies can be seen picking the abundant blackberries that they have performed their magic on throughout the year to bring about a wonderful bountiful crop. The fairy's little brother sleeps on a cobweb whilst his sister harvests the best of the fruit.
